Slow Roads

About

Slow Roads is a personal journal kept by two friends who prefer regional trains to airports and would rather spend a week in one valley than a day in five cities.

We write about routes that are easy to repeat without a car: rail connections, ferry timetables, walking paths between villages, and the small guesthouses that make a trip feel unhurried.

Nothing here is sponsored. We pay for our own tickets and rooms, and we only write about places we would happily return to.
